Ways to Access the Files Folder in Blackbaud Hosting
As you probably already know, when your database is hosted by Blackbaud, and you export data from The Raiserâs Edge or intend to import into The Raisers Edge, the files are saved to the hosting Files folder for your site. You can access the Files folder with the Content tab in Blackbaud Application Hosting.
When you click on the Files icon you will be prompted to log in
The username and password are those used to log into Hosting, not The Raiserâs Edge. Once you have logged in, enter your Site ID and click GO.
Now that you have accessed the Files folder, you will see a list of folders and files specific to your site.
The options at the top of the screen can be used to upload files, download files, create or rename a folder, and so on.
If downloading a file, tick the box to the left of the file (e.g., test.txt), then click download. You will see a security message at the top of the screen:
Click on this message to download the file and you will have the option to either open the file or save the file.
If you click Open, the file will open on screen. Click Save and you can save the file to your local machine or network.
Another option which you may not be as familiar with is using FileZilla to access the Files folder.
When you access FileZilla, complete the information at the top of the screen and click Quickconnect.
Host = files.blackbaudhosting.com
Username â your hosting user name
Password â your hosting password
Port = 22
When connection is complete, you will see the following screen:
On the left is the local site (your local machine or network); you can change the location as required. On the right is the remote site; enter your site ID here and press Enter to see the content of your Files folder.
You can either drag the file from the right hand pane to the folder on the left hand pane to download, or right click on the file and select Download.
