Importing Athletic Information into Raiser's Edge

 Problem Description : 

Importing the Athletes into Raiser's Edge

 Resolution : 

Title : Importing Athlete Records into RE7

Importing Athletes into Raisers Edge

Location of Banner Data Import SQLs: Go to CSD Folder on D:\ drive of Hawk server >> TRACY >> SQL >> Blackbaud_RE7 Stuff 

Use SQL - Athletic Constituent Info – Import - THIS ONLY Creates the record and puts in the address and telephone number

Run TOAD using the correct term. Export the data into an MS Excel file. Prepare data fields by deleting the row number from the Excel file and making sure data has been exported correctly.

Save as a csv files and move to raptor D:\RE7\TheRaisersEdge\TheRaisersEdge\ImportFiles

 A few fields you will need to insert data manually using Excel. 

Import ID EX : A12501 AYY501 YY– through end

Address Import ID: AYYYY801 through the end of numbers

PhoneADDRImport ID – Same as Address Import ID

Phone Import ID – PHYY201YY through end.

All of these numbers must be unique - 

NOTE: CONSID (Constituent ID) is automatically created during Raiser's Edge import and therefore should be left blank

Go to Raiser’s Edge - Choose Admin – Import – Athletic Constiuent Import – Choose the correct data file and do import. Import New Records ONLY

Be sure to check the box under How do you want the system to Identify existing constituents - SSN

Next create the Athletic Attribute File in the same way. Save it to Raptor as well in the same place

There is one filed you will need to fill in ImportID ATterm01 (Example AT20140201)- copy through end

Go to RE and Import this file as well. - Do the Athlete Attribute Import  You want to create new records and match on ssn

The Constituent Import must be completed First.

Both of these steps must be completed before the import is complete
