Saving Documents as Templates

Problem Description : 

Creating Templates and saving documents as Templates for Word and Excel

 Resolution : 

Open the document and set permissions to restrict editing

Check the box to allow only this type of editing in the document 

For documents that are not forms leave the default "No Changes (Read only)" as the option. 

Select "Yes, start Enforcing Protection" and enter in the template password. 

Save the file as a template (dot -word and xltx - excel)

Save the document on casper- w:/templates/test in the folder requested. (Templates are controlled by group policy )
