Scannx

Problem Description :

Install, Re-Image, and Setup of Scannx Machines in the Library

 Resolution :

gdn14400 and gdn14401

User: Administrator (local, process is defined below)

P/W: Dewey2019!

The Scannx machines in the Library just needed to be updated on 9/27/2019 to Win10. Here is the process:

1. Use a USB hub to plug into the extended USB that is on the device.

2. Plug in a keyboard, mouse, and the Image USB that we typically use.

3. Restart the machine using the power button in the bottom right.

4. When it comes back up to the "ELO" screen, try to click on the black label named "BBS" in the top right corner.

5. A black screen will pop up and select the USB that IS NOT the UEFI selection.

6. Image the PC as normal. (At this time, just using the regular 1803 image)

After the PC has finished imaging:

1. Activate the local admin account:

       - Admin CMD using the command "net user administrator /active:yes"       *Without "

-Followed by "net user administrator Dewey2019!"       *Without "

2. Remove the PC from the domain and just put it in a workgroup

After a restart:

1. Log-in as the local administrator.

2. Go to Microsoft and download the Windows Update Assistant to get the PC to 1903 (this task may be unnecessary the next time this solution is viewed)

3. Let the PC update.

4. Sign back in as the local admin.

5. Download and install TeamViewer

TeamViewer setup:

1. Install as access remotely (unattended).

2. Computer name can be left the same and P/W is set to Dewey2019! (or whatever the local admin gets set to)

3. Write down the ID and P/W that TeamViewer provides once it launches and document it where everyone can access.
