Scheduling Crystal Reports

 Problem Description :

If a report will not run from crystal on your computer, you can schedule the report. Scheduling the report allows the report to run on the server and not your computer.

 Resolution :

Log into Crystal web and left click on the report you would like to schedule. When you left click you will receive several options you can click on. You will need to click on schedule. Once you click on schedule a new window will pop up. It will allow you to select the time you want the report to run. You can select a time in the distant future or you can select it for a few minutes later. Once the time is selected, you will need to click on the "Customize your options" and select parameters.

Once you have selected parameters the screen will change and you will be prompted for the parameters the report will need to run. Once you type a parameter into the field, you will click the add button. Do one parameter at a time. Once you click add you will see the parameter you typed below the field.

Once you have entered all parameters you will click the schedule at the top right of the screen. The job will run when it is scheduled. Give the job several minutes to finish running. You can then go back to crystal web and click on the report you scheduled. You will now have an option "view last instance” this will show the most current submission of the job. If you need to see the previous reports you scheduled, you can click on select history.

You can see the screen shots at N:\csd\banner\scheduling crystal web reports. Non CSD staff will have to ask for a copy of the instructions.
