Banner 8 INB launches the first "white" page but the logon page never appears

 Problem Description : 

When launching Banner 8 INB, the first empty/blank/white page launches but the JAVA console never appears in the taskbar and the 2nd Banner INB login page never launches.

 Resolution : 

1 - Check Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs for JAVA versions. ADP requires Jave 6 Update 06 and Banner 8 INB requires Java 6 Update 16. 

- Remove all other versions of Java

- If Jave RE 1.4.2 is installed, remove it

2 - Go to URL http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp.

- If site recommends upgrade, DO NOT UPGRADE.

- Click the link "test the currently installed version of Java". It should report Hava SE 6 Update 16

- If a taskbar ballon pops up that items are disabled, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and verify under Toolbars and Extensions that the Sun Microsystems, Inc plugins are all enabled.
