Computer Services Terminating Employee (Faculty or Staff) Accounts Check – off List
1.In Banner INB– Go to SPAIDEN – Pull up the employee – go to the Address Tab and put the last work date in the To Date field on the ST address and click Inactivate Address. Next go to the Telephone Tab and click Inactivate on the phone #, then go to the E-Mail tab and uncheck Preferred and click on Inactivate. Save. Be Sure to watch the student accounts - often the supervisor will give you their student GCID and not their STAFF GCID.
2.Go to GOATPAD and click on the Disabled block and change the expiration date to the last work date. Save and Close
3.Go into Banner as Bansecr and lock the account and remove the roles.
4.Go to Active Directory – Double click on the user name. Go to the Member of Tab and remove employee from all groups except Domain Users. Click Apply and Ok. Go back to the user name in the list and right click on the account and reset the password. Right click again on the username and choose disable account. Move to the Disabled account folder.
Log into PeopleSoft as a Core User and go to PeopleTools, Security, User Profiles, Distributed User Profile. Find User Account.
Check the Lock Account Button on the General Tab, Go to the Roles and remove all of the roles. Go to the ID tab and change employee to none and Save.
