Configuring library staff PC for sending Voyager notice email
Problem Description :
PC in Library needs to be setup to send the email notices from Voyager system.. Currently this is done on Beverly's PC.
Resolution :
1 - Voyager system should be installed on PC
2 - In the C:\VOYAGER folder, edit the VOYAGER.INI file.
2.1 - Locate the [E-mail] section
2.2 - Enter server IP address of the CSD server running the POSTCAST software. Currently, this is Eagle (168.26.240.23)
3 - The IP address for the PC sending the notices needs to always be the same. Setup a DHCP reservation on Casper for the PC.
4 - On the server running POSTCAST, open the Settings->Security options and enter the PC's IP address in the "Allow access ONLY for users with these UP address:" box.
The POSTCAST software must be running for the notices to be sent. If not, they will default to printing in Library and library staff will need to have Voyager support reset the notices.
