Laser Jet 4350

Problem Description : 

Whenever a document is printed to the printer, the error “49.4C02 Service Error” would appear on the display. 

 Resolution : 

This is an issue that is corrected by upgrading the firmware. The firmware upgrade in the W:\New Machine Setups\HP LaserJet lj4240-4250-4350 Firmware v08.210.4 folder.  

If you have to install the upgrade, be sure that you clear out the print queue and ask that no one print to it.  Then open the exe file in the folder mentioned above.  You will be asked which printer to upgrade.  In the drop down box select the 4350, and click send firmware.  If someone prints to the printer while you are performing the upgrade, the upgrade will fail.  You will then have to connect to the printer using a parallel cable to perform the upgrade.
