Notes on Shift4 setup on Pin Pads in Bookstore

 Resolution : 

Gave PIN Pads static IPs (recommended by Shift4)

4) 240.232

5) 240.233

Some Notes about setup of pads...

On Pin Pads:

Hit Clear - (minus) to reboot the device

Type 2634 Enter and then + (plus) to access config

On Function screen touch...

- TDA

-Configuration (0)

-Communication (0)

-Ethernet Setttings (2)

- DHCP (1) - choose static (1) and Enter

- IP Address (3) - Enter IP and press Enter

- Subnet (4) - can't see this option - press 4 on Ethernet Settings screen to access

- Gateway (5) - can't see this option on Ethernet Settings screen - press 5 to access

Hit clear to go back to beginning menu and choose 'Save and Reboot'

On server:

Open services and stop Shift4

Run UTG TuneUp under programs/Shift4

Click on Device tab

Highlight the device and click edit (device1 is register1, device2 is register2, etc)

Device type Ingenico iSC250

Change IP address to match pinpad

Set port to 12000

Changed wait time to 120

Click on TID and set to 000x (x being the register number 0001,0002,etc.)

Do this for all devices

Save to exit

Open services and restart Shift4
