Sysfader.exe error when opening Georgia View Vista

 Problem Description : 

Received a sysfader.exe application error when trying to open Georgia View Vista

 

 

 Resolution : 

 

If Java is corrupted you will not be able to open Java in control panel. uninstall Java and reinstall without making security changes to Java certificates. 

 

Delete expired or unaccepted Java Certificate(s)

If you did not accept or run the new Java Certificate, you will need to delete all Java certicates related to Blackboard/WebCT.

 

To delete the un-accepted Java Certificate(s), please follow these steps:

  

1.Go to: Start Menu < Control Panel < Java 

2.Under the Security tab, click Certificates... button. 

3.If you see dc.blackboard.com, select it and click the Remove button. A popup window will appear asking "Are you sure you want to remove the selected certificates?". Click OK. 

4.If you see Blackboard, select it and click the Remove button. A popup window will appear asking "Are you sure you want to remove the selected certificates?". Click OK. 

5.Click Close button. 

6.Click OK button. 

 

Installing New Java Certificate

After logging into Blackboard/WebCT, users who have not accepted the new certificate will receive a notification to accept a Java Security Certificate (see images and directions below).

 

Windows

Make sure the box next to "Always trust content from this publisher" is checked. Click "Run".

 

Mac

Click "Show Certificate". Make sure the box next to "Always trust these certificates" is checked. Click "Trust".

 

If you continue to have problems with Java, please visit: Java and make sure you have the latest version of Java and do NOT have muliple versions of Java installed on your computer.
