Unix printers not printing on Dino after a system reboot

Problem Description :

After a reboot of Dino, the Unix printers will sometimes not print. Problem may be reported as a sleep/wake issue. If testing by sending lp command from unix, the job will appear to print, i.e. doing a lpstat -t does not show it in Q, but never comes out on print.

 Resolution :

The print spooler will need to be reset.

1 - SSH into Dino

2 - SU to root (su -)

3 - Launch sam

4 - Select menu item l - Printers and Plotters (new)

5 - Select menu item s - spooler configuration

6 - At bottom of screen will be menu showing t - Stop Scheduler, select this item by pressing the t key

7 - The t-stop scheduler item will change to s-start scheduler, select this item by pressing the s key

8 - Verify printing is working by doing a lp -dlpxxxx /etc/hosts are root.
