Confirm all switches are running same software version on the same partition.
show version
Confirm license level are the same on all switches.
show license
Connect all stacking cables and power on switches
For each switch, check is stacking support is enabled with show stacking-support.
If not enabled, then issue the command enable stacking-support.
Type show stacking command on the intended master switch to confirm all switches are seen in stack. The show stacking command displays all nodes in the stack. All nodes are in a disabled state and all nodes should appear as master nodes.
If not seen, type show stacking detail to confirm all stack nodes are using the same stacking protocol (ie. standard or enhanced). Change stacking protocol on each stack node if needed.
configure stacking protocol enhanced /standard
Type enable stacking from the master.
Note: All switches must have stacking-support enabled, but stacking disabled, before you run Easy Setup.
You should now see an option to configure easy-setup. If not, to start the easy setup procedure type configure stacking easy-setup
Navigate through the on-screen wizard.
Restart the stack type reboot stack
Login to the intended master node and verify the stack type "show stacking", "show slot", and "show stacking configuration" commands. Should show stack state as active and a master and backup role.
