Banner Password Expires

We have run into issues this morning with some Banner INB GUI users’ passwords expiring while they are running processes.

The explanation and solution was sent from SCT below:

In some instances, if your Banner password is set to expire within five days and you execute a process or report from GJAPCTL, you may receive the following error: (each time you execute a process it takes one of the remaining passwords)

*ERROR* External program could not execute or had an error

FUNCTIONAL IMPACT: Banner 7.x processes and reports

SOLUTION: It may be necessary to reset your password before the five day grace period ends in order to run processes or reports without the error.

If you log in and receive the message that your password will expire, click ok and go to the Change Banner Password under My Links and go ahead and change your password. You may also directly enter the form GUAPSWD to make the change as well.

Once you have changed your password, log out of Banner INB and back in on ALL sessions you have open.
