Garbled text appears when viewing PDF file without embedded fonts

Resolution :

When a user is trying to view a PDF document and sees garbled text, the issue probably pertains to Adobe Professional 7 and the Times New Roman fonts. These fonts (all 4 of them) will need to be copied from control panel | fonts and placed in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Resource\Font folder. Then Reboot the computer.
