Checking/Updating Office 2010 Workstation License Activation

 Problem Description : 

To check and/or set the license actication for Office 2010 networked PCs

 

 

 Resolution : 

 

To check if Office 2010 is activated:

- Launch any Office 2010 app (MS Word, Excel, etc),.

- Click on File->Help and activation status is just under the MS Office logo

Office 2010 on networked campus PCs uses a KMS license server. If Office 2010 is installed using a MAK server, commands from command/DOS prompt will need to be issued.

- Launch a command prompt (do a Run As Admin for Windows 7)

- Go to C: drive

- CD to c:\program files\microsoft office\office14

- Enter commands:

-- cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:VYBBJ-TRJPB-QFQRF-QFT4D-H3GVB

-- cscript ospp.vbs /act
