Creating Application Purge List for Admission

Problem Description :

Each year Admissions requires a purge list to remove old applications from system.

 Resolution :

Before Computer Services can reformat the purge list, Admissions should request the Registrars office to run SAPADMS in audit mode. CSD will need the complete filename of the .lis file including the "one up" number.

The .lis file created is extremely large and takes several thousands of pages to print. CSD can reformat to better suit needs of Admissions.

To reformat:

1) SCP or FTP the .lis file from Pebbles gdn01/banproc to n:\adm\purge_list

2. In TEXTTOOLS open an existing pipe choose purge_gcid.ttp in the ADM/purge_list tt_scripts folder (summary file)

3. Under Input Text load text and browse to find .lis file

4. Under Ouutput Text click on ... button (select Output Text File) find folder where .lis file was saved and name as purgeYYYY.txt

5. Run Entire Pipe

6. In TEXTTOOLS open an existing pipe choose purge_detail.ttp in the ADM/purge_list tt_scripts folder (detail file)

7. Under Input Text load text and browse to find .lis file

8. Under Ouutput Text click on ... button (select Output Text File) find folder where .lis file was saved and name as purgeYYYY_detail.txt

9. Run Entire Pipe

10. Email contact in Admissions that requested report.
