global file

Problem Description :

ISIR records are sent to a company by the name of global for verification. It is then sent back to us to load into Banner.

 Resolution :

Global Files

We use the 1213esar.tap file to load the files into banner. Once they are loaded into banner, there is a series of scripts that are ran to produce a file that is loaded to global.

1.       Down load ISIR records.

2.       Run the 1213esarcombine which is found on N:\finaid\iam\data

3.       Run the RCBTP13, RCPMTCH, RCRSUSP, RCRTP13

4.       Once all of those processes are finished, you will run 1213load. This is also found on the N:\finaid\iam\data . This will move the 1213esar.tap file to N:\finaid\iam\global\to_global

5.       At the top of the hour and the bottom of the hour, a process will run on vulture. This will load the 1213esar.tap into a temporary table in banner. It will then run several scripts that will get the data in the format that global wants. When that finishes, it will move the II global file down to N:\finaid\iam\global\to_global

6.       You will then need to use ssh secure file transfer to log into global. Once connected, you will need to migrate to N:\finaid\iam\global\to_global on the left side of the screen, and to production import on the right. You will then click and drag the II file from the left to the right.

You are have loaded the file to global.

Global files sent back to Gordon.

1.       Open ssh secure file transfer. Connect to global.

2.       On the left side of the screen, you will migrate to N:\finaid\iam\global\from_global. On the right you will click on production_export.

3.       Select all of the GE files on the right and drag them to the left. (At this time they are not archiving. Only move the ones created since the last time you downloaded files)

4.       Then on the right side select all of the files and move them to the archive folder.

5.       At the top of the hour the files will be moved to vulture server and processed.
