How to "Activate" the next graduation event within the Online Graduation Ceremony Registration System

Problem Description : 

Follow these steps to activate the next graduation date for the Graduation Ceremony Registration System which allows students to login and confirm they are attending Graduation (if eligible)

 Resolution : 

Before you begin make sure the Registrar's Office has setup a future Ceremony in STVCERT

1. Create an event in SLAEVNT as shown below. Be sure to use CERE - Ceremony for the Event Type

3. Shift + Page Down in GEAFUNC to access the meeting times screen. Enter the date range that the graduation event should be "active" in the Registration System.

4. Save

5. Go to SHACRMY. Choose the upcoming Ceremony (ex. SPRING13) and then enter the term that the ceremony will be held in (ex. 201302).

6. Under the First Choice box enter the real date that graduation will be held - this will be displayed within the online registration system.

7. Under the Second Choice box enter the event code that you created in steps 1-3.

8. Save the form and the event should now be "active" in the system.
